This post is quite long overdue but I think you’ll see why below. I took SO many pics this Christmas and getting through them all was quite daunting. As you will see I had a hard time narrowing it down! I didn’t let my need to document the experience interrupt being present in the moment but I did find myself grabbing for the camera more often than in years past… perhaps because all of the kids are at that age where Christmas is truly magical. We spent Christmas in Seabrook, SC as usual and had a great time with family. I will let the pics tell the story…
My little girl finally got the vanity she’s been asking for from Santa! She was so excited to wake up Christmas morning to head over to MiMi and PaPa’s and oh what a surprise! Pure happiness…
Then it was time for Christmas mass (before opening the rest of the gifts :)). All of the kiddos did great!
Mass was at the same church where my husband and I were married 7 1/2 years ago. I just had to take a photo of our children under the same arches. Beautiful wedding photo © Leigh Webber Photography
Then back to MiMi and Papa’s to open the rest of the gifts. Such fun!
Nearly-ruined-dinners to smoke alarms… oh the tension! Lots of tears but thankfully tears of laughter! I almost peed myself when my sister-in-law and brother-in-law knocked over the brussel sprouts that were sitting out (on a stool?) waiting to go in the oven. The clean-up was the best! And yes people still ate them (I did not :))
Both of the kids got cameras but it was my little girl that really got into taking pics. At one point she said, “Look mama, I’m a ‘togerpher’ like you!” She may have documented more than I did or close to it. Looking at pics of her taking pics is like looking at my Mini-Me! My little boy preferred taking videos with his camera.
Lastly the cousin boys in Mr. J’s NEW mini cooper. They were so cute, I could have watched them for days and am regretting I didn’t take a video! Hey my son is onto something there! Oh well, next time!
So. Much. FUN. And believe it or not that was just the sneak peek! If you care to see all the photos just click HERE
